Spring in Ohakune: A Fresh Season

While snow still falls on Mt Ruapehu, Ohakune town is already bursting into spring. cherry blossoms are blooming, the days are getting longer, and the landscape is beginning to come alive with the fresh colours of the season.

One of the highlights of spring in Ohakune is seeing the cherry trees come into bloom. The blossoms and a splash of colour around town and are lovely reminder that the seasons are changing.

As the days become longer, the surrounding countryside also starts to come alive. Native bush becomes greener, gardens begin to bloom, and there is a fresh feeling throughout the town.
