About The Hobbit™ Motorlodge
We’re a charming, purpose-built alpine motel and lodge complex in the heart of Ohakune, on the road to Turoa Skifield and just 45 minutes from Whakapapa, perfectly situated to explore the region.
We are particularly suited to the corporate/contractor sectors as well as large tourism groups, with a wide variety of accommodation types and room sizes. We also have large parking areas for trucks, buses or light commercial vehicles and trailers.

The Hobbit™ Motorlodge has welcomed guests to Ohakune since 1983 and remains 100% owned and operated by the same New Zealand owners.

Most of our rooms have been double glazed, providing extra comfort during the colder months while helping to reduce the outside noise.
